DeBaun, died last night at 6:45 o'clock at the family residence, Route 27, Norfolk County, a long illness. She was a native of Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, and daughter of John and Emma Basford Wright, and had lived in this section nearly all her life. Mrs. DeBaun was one of the best known woman of Norfolk County. She operated large truck farms and the products were shipped to Northern markets. Mrs. DeBaun was one of the early members of the Old Providence Christian Church, which dated back in the early eighteenth century. The church long since has been demolished and Mrs. DeBaun had maintained her membership in the South Norfolk Christian Church. Her church life and activities were outstanding. Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. Frank L. Curling, Mrs. Maria McGraw, Mrs. Alfred T. Horner, of this section; a niece, Mrs. Leroy S. Wood, Adams, N.Y.; three nephews, nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The body was moved to the J.R. Williams Funeral Home, 1027 Chesapeake avenue, South Norfolk, pending funeral arrangements.
