He was a native of Italy, had lived in Norfolk 27 years, and was well known and very highly esteemed. He had many friends. He was for years in the newspaper, periodical and confectionery business on Queen Street, near the market. He is survived by his wife, a brother, Antonio DeBona of New York City and two sisters, Mrs. Francisco Mona, of New Haven, Conn. and Mrs. S. Garlia, of Utica, N.Y. The remains have been taken to H..D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 E. Freemason Street, the funeral arrangements being incomplete today. ************************************************************************** DE BONA - At the residence, No. 720 Queen Street, Monday, October 5th, 1914, at 9:20 o'clock a.m., John De Bona, in the 66th year of his age. Remains will be taken from H. D. Oliver's funeral apartments, Nos. 610-612 Freemason Street, to St. Mary's Catholic Church for funeral service Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
