NORFOLK - Mitchell S. "Mickey" Decker, 85, died Oct. 31, 2006, in a local 
hospital.

He was born in Norfolk and was the son of the late Samuel and Mary Decker. He had 
retired from civil service. He was Catholic and a member of the Sons and Daughters 
of Lebanon.

He is survived by a sister, Cecilia Decker Harrod, of Virginia Beach; two nieces, 
Annette M. Harrod, of Virginia Beach, and Corrine D. Harr, of Norfolk; two 
nephews, Dennis M. Harrod, of Norfolk, and Bruce Wayne Harrod, of Virginia Beach. 
He was predeceased by brothers, Wilson Decker, George Decker, Jimmie P. Decker and 
Sam Philip Decker; and nephews, Richard Stephen Harrod, Cameron Decker and Gerald 
Decker.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside 
Chapel, by the Rev. Fr. David Nott. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. A 
Christian wake will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where the family 
will remain until 8:30 p.m. to receive friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial 
donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Condolences may be
