DEATHS DECKER, GEORGE S. - Suddenly, Friday morning, September 17, 1943, at 11:01 o'clock, George S. Decker, in the 28th year of his age. The body will be taken from the residence, 1083 West Forty-second Street, to the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for funeral services this (Tuesday) morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Arrangements by Gregory Funeral Home. George Sam Decker, 27-year-old Navy enlisted man, a Norfolk native, was killed in the explosion, as previously reported. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, with military honors. Rosary services will be held tonight at the residence at 8 :30 o'clock. Young Decker, who lived at 1083 West Forty-second Street , is survived by four brothers, Wilson S., James P., Mitchell S. and Phillip Sam Decker; one sister, Miss Cecelia R. Decker; two uncles, Joseph M. and Elias M. Decker, and one aunt, Mrs. George John.
