Pauline McIntosh "Polly" Decker, 80, of the 400 block of Virginian Drive, died 
Aug. 27, 1998, in a Florida hospital.

Mrs. Decker was a native of Sanford, N.C., and a longtime resident of Norfolk. She 
was the recent widow of Frank Ellis Decker, former Norfolk deputy police chief. 
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Norfolk.

Survivors include a daughter, Jane D. Sterner of Norfolk; three sons, Dennis 
Decker and his wife, Myrtle, of Melbourne, Fla., Stephen E. Decker and his wife, 
Connie, of Immokalee, Fla., Edward Decker of Twin Falls, Idaho; a sister, Anne 
Stout of Union, S.C.; and six grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic 
Cemetery by the Rev. Julian B. Goodman.

The family will receive friends at the residence following the service. Memorial 
donations may be made to the Endowment Fund of the Ryan Club of Norfolk, c/o 
Aubrey H. Perry III, 405 49th St., Virginia Beach, Va. 23451. H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apts., Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
