Virginian-Pilot December 25, 1915
The funeral of Carrie Brown, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. DeFord, 
took place yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock at the residence, 314 24th street. 
The service was conducted by Rev. C. M. Watson, pastor of the First Christian 
church (Disciples). The service was largely attended and there were many floral 
tributes. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery.
