The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday April 23, 1946


Paul Clark Degge, 77, so of the late George Anthony and Mrs. Virginia Clark 
Degge, a life-long resident of Norfolk, died Monday at 6:45 a.m. at the 
residence, 205 East Twenty-Eighth Street.
Mr. Degge had been a member of Norfolk and Portsmouth Typographical Union No. 
32 over 50 years. 
Surviving are a son, George C. Degge, of Norfolk; three daughters, Miss 
Elizabeth E. Degge and Mrs. Catherine M. Smith, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Jerome B. 
Caston, of Patterson, Calif., and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., with the Rev. O.J. Hodges, pastor of the 
Baptist Tabernacle, officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
