His remains have been removed to Caroline county, where they will be interred in the family burying ground. Mr. DeJarnette has for a long time been a well-known and highly esteemed citizen of Norfolk and leaves many friends to mourn his loss. He was a brother of Hon. D. C. DeJarnette, of Caroline. J. M. Trible, the regular preacher, and at 4 p.m., the funeral of R. E. DeJarnette, Sr., will be preached, when the friends and acquaintances of the deceased are respectfully invited to attend.
