Virginian Pilot May 27, 1957

William Henry Delaney Sr., 68, husband of Mrs. Fay McCall Delaney, and son of 
the late Thomas and Mrs. Mary Phillips Delaney, a native and former resident of 
Norfolk, died Friday at Washington, where he had made his home for a number of 
years.
Besides his wife he is survived by one son, William Henry Delaney Jr., of 
Washington; a daughter, Mrs. Anna Mary Caffrey, of Detroit, Mich.; three 
grandchildren and a brother, Thomas Delaney.
Funeral services will be held at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Washington, 
tomorrow at 9 a.m., after which the body will be forwarded to Norfolk, and will 
be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, to St. Mary's Cemetery for 
committal services at the grave Tuesday at 10 a.m.

NORFOLK — Services for William Henry Delaney, Sr., former Norfolk resident, who 
died Friday in Washington, were conducted at the grave in St. Mary's Cemetery, 
Norfolk, yesterday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Kenneth M. Rizer, pastor of Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church.
