DELANY - At her residence, No. 99 Brewer Street, January 6th, at 4:30 a.m., 
AMANDA E. DELANY, wife of the late Edward Delany.
The funeral will take place from residence, FRIDAY, January 8th, at 12 
o'clock.  Friends and acquaintances invited to attend.

Mrs. Amanda Delaney departed this life at her residence, 99 Brewer Street, 
at an early hour yesterday morning.  The deceased was the widow of the late 
Edward Delaney, at one time Mayor of Norfolk.  Her death will cast a shadow 
of gloom over a large circle of devoted relatives and friends.

The funeral of this highly esteemed lady took place from her late residence, 
No. 99 Brewer Street, at 11 o'clock a.m. yesterday.  The services were 
conducted by Rev. W.G. Starr, D.D., pastor of the Cumberland Street M.E. 
Church.  The interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery.  The following were the 
pallbearers:  William H. Fletcher, S.N. Brickhouse, A.J. Whitehurst, H.M. 
Fearing, W.A. James, F. Odend'hal, Captain Bolden.
