DeLoatch of 1410 Lead St., died Tuesday at 9:20 p.m. in a Norfolk hospital after a short illness. He was the son of the late Thomas and Mrs. Penny DeLoatch, and husband of Mrs. Mary E. DeLoatch. He was a native of Margarettsville NC and was a retired chauffeur. He was a member of the Evening Star Club, and of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher for more than 40 years. Surviving, besides his wife, are three sons, the Rev. William O. DeLoatch, pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church; Theodore DeLoatch and James DeLoatch, also of Norfolk; and one daughter, Mrs. Winifred D. Fairborne of Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted at Bethlehem Baptist Church Sunday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. J. Q. A. Lassiter, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
