Mr. John H. Deloatch, a well known citizen of this city, died at his residence,
456 Cumberland street, Wednesday at 10:45 a.m., after suffering a stroke of
paralysis Saturday.

Mr. Deloatch was a native of Northampton county, but had been a resident of
Norfolk for a number of years.  He was a member of the National Headwaiters
Association, the Acme Association, the Masons, and a deacon in Bank Street
Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Mary 20, at the Bank Street Baptist Church
after the morning service.
