He was a member of Roma Lodge, Sons of Italy, and of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Marie Vatala, Mrs. J.A. Sansone Sr. and Miss Carmel DeMaio of Norfolk, Mrs. J. Romeo of Melcher, Iowa; Mrs. H.W. .Butt of Salem, Miss Virginia DeMaio of Danville and Mrs. R.H. Huber of White Sands, N.M.; three sons, Rosario and Carmine J. DeMaio of Norfolk and John J DeMaio of Huntsville, Ala.; 21 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, to St. Mary's Catholic Church for services Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The family will be at 318 W. 26th Street.
