NORFOLK — Louis J. Demaio, 64, of 9237 Marlow Ave., died Thursday in a hospital. 
He was the husband of Mrs. Barbara Demaio and son of Carmine and Mrs. Mary Lazzari 
Demaio Morello.
A Norfolk native, he was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a marine 
surveyor engineer for American Bureau of Ships. He was a member of Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church, the Naval Architect Club, and Propellor Club.
Surviving, besides his widow, are four sisters, Mrs. Teresa Bernagozzi, Mrs. 
Frances Lamastra, and Mrs. Angeline Minutolo of Norfolk, and Mrs. Mary Bough of 
California; a brother, Vincent Morello of Norfolk; a stepson, John Demario of 
Maryland; and four grandchildren.
The Office of the Dead will be conducted in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
Norfolk, Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
A funeral service will be held in Holy Trinity Catholic Church Monday at 10 a.m. 
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
