Miss Anna Laurie Deming, a charter member of Epworth Methodist Church, died in a 
Norfolk hospital yesterday at 2:40 a.m. after a long illness.
Miss Deming was active in the program at Epworth for many years. She was a 
native of Norfolk, the daughter of Edward Calvin Deming and Mrs. Frances 
Ghiselin Deming. She resided at 716 Carolina Avenue.
Miss Deming is survived by a sister, Miss Lucy M. Deming, of Norfolk, who was 
also a charter member of the church, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the H. D. Oliver Funeral
Apartments Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Joseph S. Johnston, D.D., pastor of 
Epworth Methodist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
