Virginian-Pilot August 5, 1918
Miss Sarah Frances Deming, daughter of Frances T. and Edward C. Deming, of 401 
Redgate avenue, died at her home yesterday morning at 4 o’clock. Miss Deming is 
survived by her mother, three sisters, Mrs. James A. Dawkins of Baltimore, Misses 
Annie D. and Lucy M. Deming of Norfolk; four brothers, J. C. and E. C. Deming of 
Philadelphia, and Portius and W. B. Deming of Norfolk.
Services for the funeral will take place privately tomorrow. Rev. S. T. Senter, 
D.D., pastor of the Epworth M. E. church, of which she was a constant attendant 
and member, will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.
