Demma and a Norfolk native, died Wednesday morning in a hospital. She was a daughter of Mrs. Blanche Pestorius of Norfolk. She worked for Civil Service and retired. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Other survivors include two daughters, Misses Rose Marie Demma of New York and Theresa Blanch Demma of Washington; two sons, Joseph A. Demma Jr. and A. John Demma of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Mrs. Claudia Frances Sams and Mrs. Catherine Pestorius of Norfolk, and Mrs. Frances Woodard of Florida; and a brother, Edward Winter of Norfolk. A Christian Wake service will be said tonight at 8 in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 12:30 p.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Painter Street, with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family, which will be at 108 Belvedere Road, asks that flowers be omitted and memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
