Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Saturday June 10, 1916
The funeral of Samuel E. Dennis, who died Thursday night on the houseboat White 
Hope, at the foot of Southampton avenue, will take place at the LeKies Memorial 
church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, and interment will be in Elmwood 
cemetery. 
The services will be conducted by Rev. V. W. Bargamin. Mr. Dennis is survived 
by his mother, Mrs. Lula C. Dennis of Norfolk.
