NORFOLK — Mrs. Carmela Scotece Desiderio, 81, of 7255 Wilby St., Apt. 7, died 
Friday in a hospital.

A native of Italy, she was the wife of Louis Desiderio. She was a member of 
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Santos Club; and Senior Citizen’s Club of 
Norfolk.

Besides her hus­band, survivors in­clude three daughters, Mrs. Grace Tyburczy and 
Mrs. Mary Scotece O’Haver, both of Norfolk, and Mrs. Theresa Glass of Virgin­ia 
Beach; five sons, Mario Anthony Sco­tece of Miami, Frank Scotece and John Angelo 
Scotece, both of Norfolk, Joseph Scotece of Miami, and Michael Vincent Scotece Sr. 
of Virginia Beach; a sister, Sis­ter Mary Serfinia Miele of Italy; a brother, 
Francis Miele of Italy; 30 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be cele­brated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Blessed Sac­
rament Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary 
will be recited at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Monday at 
7:30 p.m. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Tyburczy, 5728 
Kevin Court, Norfolk
