Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark December 29, 1924

Giovanni D'Este, aged 62, died Saturday afternoon at 3:55 o'clock at a local 
hospital. He was a native of Italy but had been a resident of Norfolk for 18 
years, residing at 1032 East Olney Road. Besides his wife, Mrs. Rosa D'Este, he 
is survived by two sons, Flemming and Mario D'Este. Funeral service will be held 
at St. Mary's Catholic Church Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be 
in St. Mary's Cemetery.

D'ESTE, GIOVANNI - At a local hospital, Saturday, December 27, 1924, at 3:55 
o'clock p.m., GIOVANNI D'ESTE, in the 63d year of his age.
 Remains will be taken from H. D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, No. 610-12 E. 
Freemason Street, to St. Mary's Catholic Church for funeral services on TUESDAY 
MORNING at 10 o'clock.  Friends of the family are invited to attend.  Interment, 
St. Mary's Cemetery.
