He had just returned from a fishing trip off the Eastern Shore when stricken. A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he lived at 256 Lucille Ave. He was a son of Frank and Mrs. Livia DeStefano. He was a member of Norfolk Elks Lodge 39. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Mary Aftese and Mrs. Phyllis Raper of Norfolk, Mrs. Filomina Ivey of New York and Mrs. Elizabeth Hess of Elizabeth City, N.C.; and two brothers, Frank DeStefano of Washington and Joseph DeStefano of Norfolk. A funeral service will be held in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Monday at 11 a.m., with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
