Mr». Mary Anna Detterman — Mrs. Mary Anna Detterman, aged 65 years, wife of 
Nicholas J. Detterman, died yesterday morning at 9:50 o’clock at a local hospital. 
She was a native of Cumberland, Md., and had been a resident of Norfolk for 19 
years. Besides her husband, she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. W. M. Hayden, 
Mrs. T. W. Treakle, Mrs. F. S. Kessler, Mrs. W. E. Rhodes and Mrs. George Thomas; 
i four sons, J. F., H. A., G. W. and. F. L. Detterman; three sisters, Mrs. 
Elizaeth Sowers, of Cumberland, Md., Mrs. Katherine Brookman, of Baltimore, Md., 
and Mrs. Joseph Braggs, of Cumberland, Md., and 14 grandchildren. Remains will be 
taken from the residence, 816 Windsor avenue, to St. Mary's Catholic Church for 
funeral services tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery.
