Jessie Louis Dew, of 2221 Courtney avenue, died recently at home following a 
long illness. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. May 23 at St. Mark's 
Community Church with the Rev. R. L. Harris, pastor, officiating. A native 
of Wilson NC, Mr. Dew was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Dew.

He lived in Norfolk about 15 years.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Naomi Dew; four daughters, Mrs. Annie Lee 
Stokes and Mrs. Bessie Williams of Richmond VA; Mrs. Frances Gray of 
Norfolk, and Mrs. Elizabeth Wosten Reed of Wilson NC, two sons, Jessie 
Thomas Dew; and a sister, Mrs.Nettie Vylett of Norfolk VA.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick's Funeral Home in charge.
