Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark January 3, 1917

DEWS - At the residence of her sister, Mrs. E.F. Wright, 710 Woodis Avenue, 
Tuesday morning, January 2, 1917, at 4 o'clock, MARY ELIZABETH DEWS, age 61 
years.
Funeral services from the above residence THIS (WEDNESDAY) AFTERNOON, January 2, 
at 3 o'clock.  Friends of the family invited to attend. Interment Elmwood 
Cemetery.

The funeral of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Dews will take place this afternoon at 3 
o'clock at the residence of her sister, Mrs. E.F. Wright, 710 Woodis Avenue, 
where she died early yesterday morning in her 61st year.  A native of Virginia, 
she had lived in Norfolk 24 years and was greatly esteemed.  Besides her sister 
she is survived by a nephew, Claud E. Wright, of Norfolk and a niece, Mrs. Spry, 
of Edenton, N.C.; also a grandchild.  Burial will be in Elmwood.
