Virginian Pilot March 20, 1901

The funeral of Mr. William L .Dey, whose untimely death occurred at the home of 
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James B. Dey, on Duncan Avenue, Ghent, Monday evening, 
in the 27th year of his age, was solemnized at the grave, in Cedar Grove Cemetery, 
at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon.  The services were conducted by Rev. J.J. 
Taylor, D.D., of Freemason Street Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. William A. 
Barr, of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.  Following were the pallbearers: Messrs. 
Walter Dey, Calvert Dey, Charles Dey, Charles Burruss, Vernon Cofer and Herbert 
Cofer.
