DEY, 96, DIES AT HOME Niece of Gen. A.P. Hill Oldest Member of St. Andrew's Mrs. Georgia Powell Hill Dey, aged 96, widow of James B. Dey, Sr. and daughter of the late Maj. Thomas J. and Mrs. Louise Jones Hill, died at the residence, Apartment C, Raleigh Court, 700 Raleigh Avenue, last night at 8:30 o'clock. Mrs. Dey was a native of Culpeper County and a resident of Norfolk for the past 70 years. Mrs. Dey was a granddaughter of Gen. Harry Hill, who fought under Gen. George Washington and was a niece of Gen A.P. Hill, of the Confederate Army. She was also the oldest member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Louise Dey Norsworthy; three grandchildren, Mrs. Clifford Wiggins, Miss Louise Norsworthy and Mrs. Robert H. Chard, all of Norfolk; five great grandchildren and a sister, Miss Gillie Hill, of Charlottesville. The body was taken to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, pending arrangements. ************************************************************************ Mrs. Georgia Powell Hill Dey - Funeral services for Mrs. Dey, widow of James B. Dey, Sr., who died Wednesday night at the residence, 700 Raleigh Avenue, were held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with the Rev. Taylor Willis, D.D., rector of Christ and St. Luke's Church, officiating. Interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The pallbearers were Walter H. Dey, Henry Moore, Dr. E.W. Magruder, Frank Beckham, Asa J. Shields, W. Herbert Nash, Samuel J. Northern and Julius G. Lohman.
