Dey, passed away yesterday at 1 o’clock, after three weeks’ sickness of typhoid fever. She was 16 years old and just blooming into womanhood. Possessing a lovely character and disposition, she will be greatly missed by her circle of friends. She was a consistent member of Epworth M.E. Church, which she services in every capacity she could with loving devotion. The funeral will take place from the residence e of her parents, No. 25 Brewer Street, Sunday afternoon at 5 o’clock. The Norfolk Virginian, July 18, 1896 The many friends of Miss Rosalie W. Dey, the 16 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Dey, will be grieved to learn of her death., which occurred at the home of her parents, No. 29 Brewer Street, at 1:25 yesterday afternoon. The funeral will take place from the residence at 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon, and will be conducted by Rev. W.J. Young, pastor of Epworth M.E. Church, of which she was a member. The deceased was a beautiful girl with many traits that rendered her a favorite with her schoolmates, teachers and friends. Her death was due to an illness of typhoid fever which overtook her about three weeks ago.
