Dickson, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John W. Miller, 917 East 178th street, New York city, yesterday morning in the 55th year of her age. The deceased, who had been in feeble health for some time left her home in Norfolk about Christmas to be with her daughter. She was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, but had been a resident of this city for many years, where she was well known and highly esteemed. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Miller; three brothers, D. Carpenter, of Norfolk; Andrew and Alexander Carpenter, of Scotland and a half brother, Robert Stephen, of Norfolk. Her remains will arrive here from New York on Friday on the Old Dominion steamer and the funeral will be solemnized from the apartments of Funeral Director H.D. Oliver, 520 Freemason street, that afternoon. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
