The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark March 25, 1933


Mrs. Maria Boggs Dickson, aged 83, widow of Nathaniel Dickson, died at a local 
hospital last night at 8 o’clock after a long illness. She is survived by four 
daughters, Mrs. G.W. Keller, Mrs. George W. Shumadine, Mrs. L.A. Powell and 
Mrs. S.T. Keller, a son, S.O. Dickson; a brother, William Boggs, all of 
Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Lydia Marchi, of Boston; ten grandchildren and 15 great-
grandchildren. Mrs. Dickson was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
afternoon at 3:30 o’clock. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
