DICKSON - On Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., at the residence of Mr. Merritt T. Cooke, 
WILLIAM DICKSON, in the 92d year of his age.
Funeral from the residence on FRIDAY, June 3d, at 10 a.m. Kindly omit flowers.

                       Death of Mr. William Dickson

Mr. William Dickson, one of the oldest residents of Norfolk, died yesterday 
afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the home of the Hon. M.T. Cooke, in Bute Street. 
The deceased had reached the advanced age of 92 years and up to a short while 
ago was in good health. He was a native of Scotland, formerly resided in Duluth, 
Minn., and took up his residence here about three years ago. Mr. Dickson was a 
brother of the late Mr. Richard Dickson, who during his life was one of 
Norfolk's most prominent and wealthy citizens. The funeral will take place from 
Mr. Cooke's residence Friday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock.

The funeral of Mr. William Dickson, who died Wednesday afternoon last, took 
place at 10 o'clock yesterday morning from the residence of the Hon. Merritt T. 
Cooke, No. 61 Bute Street. These services were conducted by the Rev. Dr. C.E. 
Grammer and the Rev. John E. Wales, of Christ Episcopal Church, and the 
following were the pallbearers: W.W. Chamberlaine, C. Brooks Johnston, Percy S. 
Stephenson, R.A. Dobie, D.S. Burwell, Joseph T. Allyn, B.P. Loyall and John M. 
Reynolds. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
