Norfolk - Shirley Caroleen DiDomenico, the beautiful matriarch of the DiDomenico 
family, joined the love of her life on Monday, August 6, 2012. Shirley was born on 
November 9, 1926, to the late Dorothy Gimbert Fantone and Joseph J. Fantone, Jr. 
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Pete ; her beloved granddaughter, 
Stacie Lynn; sister, Dolly Parker, and brother, Joseph Fantone, Jr.

She is survived by 8 children, Peter, Jr. (Beth), Joseph, Don (Becky), Shirley 
Anne, Mary Lynnette, Michael, Alan and Dorothy Jo; 18 grandchildren, Kim, Peter 
III, Joey, Terri, Justin, Jamey, Kevin, Kristin, Kelli, Erin, Billy, Nikki, Max, 
Sumner, Charlie, Laura, Casey and Kaitlin; 14 great-grandchildren, Derek, Emma, 
Preston, Anna, Carter, Jonathan, Jacob, Damien, Christian, Laine, Landon, 
Isabella, Kiah, Paige, and a special granddog, Oliver; sisters, Nancy Owen, Pat 
Zito (Chuck), Bootie Roberson; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Fantone; and many nieces 
and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday evening, August 9, from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at 
the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. A Mass of the Resurrection will be 
celebrated by Fr. William Pitt on Friday, August 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church with burial immediately following at St. Mary's Cemetery in 
Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis 
Foundation. Online condolences may be offered to the family through
