CHESAPEAKE — Julius Bernard Dietrich, 83, formerly of 316 Marchant Road, died 
Monday at 5:23 p.m. in Guardian Care Nursing Home, Great Bridge.
A native of Buffalo, N.Y., he lived in this area 25 years.
He was the husband of the late Mrs. Mary Frieh Dietrich and a son of Mr. and Mrs. 
Bernard Julius Dietrich.
He was a retired baker.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 
Norfolk.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Rita Phelps of San Diego; two sons, Bernard J. 
Dietrich of Chesapeake and George M. Dietrich of Orlando, Fla.; seven 
grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic 
Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Norfolk.
The family will be at the son's home, 1100 S.Military Highway, Chesapeake.
Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Road, has charge.
