Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark December 7, 1921

Mrs. Mary Weatherley Diggs, widow of Charles H. Diggs, died at 10:15 o'clock 
Monday morning after an illness of several weeks. She was the daughter of the 
late James Wilson Weatherley and Maria Ringgold Weatherley, of Baltimore.
She is survived by four sisters, the Misses Louisa R., Lillie P. and Ella T. 
Weatherley, of Baltimore; and G. Clare Weatherley, of Norfolk.  Two brothers, 
Frank and James C. Weatherley, of Baltimore and two nieces and nephews, Sister 
Mary James, of the Order of Mercy and James Wilson Weatherley, of France and 
Mary Davis and J. Worthington Weatherley, of Baltimore, also survive her.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30  o'clock this morning at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church Rev. Thomas E. Waters officiating. Burial will take place in St. 
Mary's Cemetery.

Funeral service for Mrs. Diggs, widow of Charles H. Diggs, was held yesterday 
morning in the Church of the Sacred Heart with many relatives and friends 
present. Requiem high mass was conducted, with Rev. T. E. Waters, celebrant; 
Rev. R. E. Hannan, deacon, and Rev. Leo J. Ryan, subdeacon. Rev. Vincent D. 
Warren was master of ceremonies. Selections were sung by the choir of the church 
school. Burial took place in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The following were 
pallbearers: C. G. Metts, Clarence Smith, George Brooks, R. F. Baldwin, H. T. 
Cruser, Otto Wells, W. A. Marable and William Chapman.
