Funeral services were held from Mt. Olive Baptist Church Monday afternoon at 2 
p.m. for Victor D. Diggs, 49 year old Norfolk professional bondsman who died 
Friday at his residence, 1716 E. Olney road after a lingering illness.  The Rev. 
H. T. Myers officiated, assisted by other area ministers.

A native of Norfolk, Mr. Diggs was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. 
Diggs and had conducted his business in the city for some 11 years.

He attended Shiloh, Jerusalem and Mt. Olive Baptist churches.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy M. Diggs;  two sons, Victor D. Diggs Jr., 
and Charles C. Diggs III;  two daughters, Misses Dorothy E. Diggs and Diane I. 
Diggs;  one sister, Miss T. Ione Diggs, a Norfolk attorney;  four brothers, 
George W. Diggs of Norfolk;  Leonard B. Diggs of Albany NY;  Carrol W. Diggs of 
Matthews and Paul L. Diggs of Washington.

Chatman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
