Virginian-Pilot November 26, 1942
DIGGS, EDWARD – At the residence, 1829 Brambleton avenue, Tuesday night, November 
24, 1942, at 9:05 o’clock, EDWARD DIGGS, husband of Fannie Barnes Diggs, in the 
85th year of his age. Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown 
Funeral Home THIS (Thursday) AFTERNOON, November 26, 1942, at 3:30 o’clock. 
Friends of the family invited to attend. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Additional Comments:
Date of death different from that on his tombstone, but his death certificate and 
obituary show it as the 24th.
