Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch May 26, 1947
DIGGS, GEORGE LINWOOD – At the residence, 2635 Lens avenue, Sunday night, May 25, 
1947, at 11 o’clock, GEORGE LINWOOD DIGGS, husband of Atta Shelnutt Diggs and son 
of Mrs. Mary Barnes Diggs and the late Edward Diggs, in the 54th year of her age. 
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home TUESDAY 
AFTERNOON, May 27, 1947, at 4:30 o’clock. Friends of the family invited to attend. 
Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
