The funeral of Charles H. Diggs was held at his late residence, 500 Stockley 
Gardens, Ghent, yesterday afternoon and was numerously attended, including members 
of the Real Estate Owners’ Protective Association, of which he was president, and 
a delegation from the Board of Trade and Business Men’s Association, with which he 
was connected.
The service was conducted hy Rev. Thomas Waters of the Sacred Heart Catholic 
church and Rev. Father John J. Doherty of St. Mary’s Catholic church. There was a 
wealth of beautiful floral tributes, attesting the high esteem in which Mr. Diggs 
was held in the community. The interment was in St. Mary’s cemetery.
The following were the pallbearers: W. T. Simcoe, Judge T. H. Willcox, Colonel 
John W. Oast, A. B. Schwarzkoff. Charles G. Metts, Joseph D. McCarrick, M. C. 
Ferebee and W. P. Dodson.
