Virginian-Pilot  December 8, 1921
Funeral service for Mrs. Diggs, widow of Charles H. Diggs, was held yesterday 
morning in the Church of the Sacred Heart with many relatives and friends present. 
Requiem high mass was conducted, with Rev. T. E. Waters, celebrant; Rev. R. E. 
Hannan, deacon, and Rev. Leo J. Ryan, subdeacon. Rev. Vincent D. Warren was master 
of ceremonies. Selections were sung by the choir of the church school. Burial took 
place in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The following were pallbearers: C. G. 
Metts, Clarence Smith, George Brooks, R. F. Baldwin, H. T. Cruser, Otto Wells, W. 
A. Marable and William Chapman.
