Richmond (VA) Times-Dispatch January 25, 1987
Edward Dillon Jr., 88, of 3100 Shore Dr., Virginia Beach, Va., died in a Virginia 
Beach hospital on January 22. A former resident of Ashland and a native of Buena 
Vista, Va. A memorial service was held Saturday, January 24. Survivors include his 
wife, Eleanor Pender Dillon; two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor D. Haroldson of Lansing, 
Mi., Mrs. Amanda D. Taylor of Alexandria, Va.; a son, Edward Dillon IV of Ashland, 
Va.; one sister, Miss Susan Dillon of Virginia Beach; one grandson. A graduate of 
VMI class of 1919. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the 
Cripple Children’s Hospital in Richmond or the charity of the donor’s choice. H.D. 
Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Rd., Virginia Beach, Va., handled the arrangements.
