She resided at Woodhaven, the skilled nursing portion of Williamsburg Landing, in Williamsburg, VA. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward Dillon and Eleanor Pender Dillon, and her brother, Edward Dillon IV. She is survived by her sister, Amanda Taylor (Jim) of Port Haywood, VA; her nephew, Edward Davis Dillon (Barbara); and three great-nieces and -nephews. Nora was born in Richmond, VA and graduated from Madison College, now James Madison University, and began her career in Education in Michigan. She continued her studies by obtaining advanced degrees in Special Education and taught for twenty years. She then shifted gears and became the Lobbyist for the Michigan Federation of Teachers. This was a job she loved in every way. Her mantra for life was "Thou Shalt Not Stand Idly By" and she lived it to the letter. Upon retiring to Charleston, S.C., she became involved in politics and the arts, traveled a great deal, and was a connoisseur of good food and wine. A final move brought her back to Virginia and Williamsburg Landing, where she was close to family and a new set of friends. Burial will be at a later date in the family site at Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk. The family would like to thank the staff at Woodhaven for the care and love that was shown to her during her illness.
