He was a son of Nicholas and Mrs. Maria Ruggieri Dinofa. A Norfolk native and a lifelong resident of this area, he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He served aboard the U.S.S. Pallowan in Sasebo, Japan, and was a veteran of World War II. He was a barber at Mike's Barber Shop, 1204 Granby St. Surviving are six sisters, Mrs. Pasquale Arcese and Mrs. Joseph Arcese of Portsmouth and Mrs. Joseph Vita, Mrs. Pearl Panella, Mrs. Carmela Carleo, and Mrs. Amelia Madison of Norfolk. The Office of the Dead will be said in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 7:30. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
