Mrs. Mattie Boone Dixon, 49, of 3128 Pioneer avenue, who died Jan. 26 in a 
Norfolk hospital, received final rites Thursday at Mother Church of God in 
Christ.

Bishop D. Lawrence Williams officiated at the service.

A member of New Calvary Baptist Church, Mrs. Dixon was a Norfolk native.

Her survivors include her husband, William Dixon;  two sons, Raymond and Curtis 
Dixon of Norfolk;  her stepmother, Mrs. Maggie Hardy of Norfolk;  seven 
daughters, Mrs. Annie Mae Allen, Mrs. Beulah Stephenson, Miss Barbara Ann Dixon, 
Miss Hailee Dixon and Miss Corine Coston of Norfolk, Mrs. Bertha Boone of 
Portsmouth and Mrs. Veola Canada of Boston;  12 grandchildren and three great 
grandchildren.
