Virginian Pilot Friday October 3, 1902 

The obsequies of Mr. S. Monroe Dixon, of Princess Anne County, who passed away 
Tuesday at St. Vincent's Hospital, were held from the funeral apartments of Mr. 
H.D. Oliver, on Freemason Street, at 2 o'clock yesterday.  The service was 
conducted by Rev. Upton Beale Thomas, assistant rector of Christ Episcopal Church. 

The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
