The Virginian Pilot Wednesday June 7, 1961
Mrs. Sarepta Wilber Dobbs, 87, widow of Augustus B. Dobbs and daughter of 
Andrew and Mrs. Ellen Virginia Brown Wilber, died in a Norfolk hospital 
Tuesday at 3:10 p.m.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Virginia D. Trowbridge, Mrs. Edna 
Dobbs Johnson and Mrs. Margaret D. Evans of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Ella 
Wilber DeLatt of Philadelphia and Mrs. Jack J. Jernee of Ocean City, N.J.; a 
brother, Andrew Lee Wilber of Norfolk, six grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren.
Mrs. Dobbs, a native of Princess Anne County, lived in this area all her 
life, lately at 7615 Gloucester Ave.  She was a member of Wesley Memorial 
Methodist Church, its Ladies Bible Class, and W.B.A. Review No. 5.
A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Thursday 
at noon.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
