Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, September 26, 1993 
Ellen A. Dock, 94, of the 7000 block of Auburn Ave., died Sept. 23, 1993, in
Norfolk Health Center.

Mrs. Dock was born in Brodnax, Va. She retired from domestic work and was a
member of St. Marks R.Z.U.A. Church and the Senior Female Usher Board. She was
the widow of Joseph Dock and the daughter of the late Rose Johnson and Travis
Johnson.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and
cousin, including Corrine Fowler. She will be missed by her many friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Marks R.Z.U.A. Church,
Colonial Avenue, by the Rev. Alvin Ben Thomas and Rev. James Oliver Allen.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body will be placed in the church at
noon Monday. The family will assemble at 3407 Somme Ave., home of Mrs. Fowler.
Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
