DODD, daughter of the late John Dodd, Esq. Funeral will take place from Sacred Heart Church at 10 o'clock a.m. MONDAY. Our Father glanced o'er the earthland And beheld a being there Who had given to Him her length of days In alms-deed and in prayer-- Saying: "Earth ne'er held a gentler spirit, One less free from mortal taint, Had mortals seen the hallowed brow They had long since called her saint." He summoned the angel we call Death, And bade him close her eyes, "Tis meet that such should dwell above-- Should rest in Paradise. To stricken ones, to whom thou'rt dear, Hope gleameth as a star, With eyes of faith they see thy hand Beckoning from afar. Aye, we will heed thy silent call, Tread ways that thou hast trod, "Without a doubt that they will lead To glory and to God." ******************** Death of Miss E.M.
