Virginian-Pilot  April 30, 1897
The funeral of Miss Mary Ann Dodd took place yesterday morning at 9:30 o’clock 
from the Church of the Sacred Heart, on York street, and was conducted by the 
pastor, Rev. Father Wilson, assisted by Rev. Father Doherty, of St. Mary’s. 
Requiem mass was said and a solo, “Lead Kindly Light,” was sung by Mrs. J. P. 
Kevill. The following were the pall bearers: Peter Smith, Cosmos Smith, Walter 
Sharp, Thomas Kevill, Edward Barry, Henry Reardon, Walter Bilisoly and W. H. F. 
Dickson. The remains were placed in the family vault in St. Mary's cemetery.
