The Norfolk Virginian Pilot July 3, 1937
Martha Morris Dolan, widow of Ben Dolan, died at a local hospital yesterday 
morning at 8:30 o'clock after a long illness. She was a native and lifelong 
resident of Norfolk and was the daughter of the late Henry and Permelia Morris. 
Surviving her are one son, E.P. Phillips, Sr., one sister, Mrs. Eliza Parker, 
seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 
conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the funeral home of James V. 
Derry, 346 West Princess Anne road. The Rev. E.P. Miner, rector of St. Mark's 
Protestant Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
