Norfolk Journal and Guide, Feb 23,1963
Richard Doles of 2510 Hale street, a Seaboard, NC, native, received final rites 
Tuesday at St. John AME Church, where  he held membership.  The Rev. W. L. 
Hildebrand officiated.

Mr. Doles died Feb. 16 in a Norfolk nursing home.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery under direction of Hale Funeral Home.

An employee of Norfolk Coca Cola Bottling Company, Mr. Doles is survived by his 
mother, Mrs. Mary Doles;  his wife, Mrs. Catherine Doles;  and two daughters, 
Mrs. Elizabeth Sears and Miss Louise Doles of Norfolk.
