Norfolk Virginian August 26, 1885
Dr. E. V. Newton, city coroner, yesterday decided not to hold an inquest on the 
body of Patrick Donnelly, the white man who died near the Boston steamer's wharf 
Monday night, while being conveyed to the Baltimore boat. He was yesterday buried 
at the expense of the city.
